We would like to extend a massive thank you to all the volunteers who turned up on Saturday 25th May to support the school. We were blessed with a beautiful day and about 50 members of the school community including children, governors, staff, neighbours, parents and grand-parents donated their time to improve the school grounds. By the end of the day we had sanded and painted all 8 benches on the field; completely cleared the pond and surrounding area; laid a new path from the field to the pond; created a ‘woodland nature walk’ for the children and disposed of all the waste with a large bonfire. Everybody worked tirelessly although without Andy Pinkham’s digger we would probably not have made as much progress as we did! It was a fun, tiring but ultimately rewarding day.
The children and teachers were so excited to return to school today to see the improvements that had been made and can’t wait to make the most of the incredible outdoor resources we have available to us. So if you were one of the volunteers THANK YOU and if you weren’t able to help this time there will always be next year….
