6TH read ‘Alice in Wonderland’ as their classic text. Whilst many children had seen the film they were delighted by how funny the actual text was. They enjoyed attempting some literacy nonsense writing and worked together to set up a wonderfully creative Mad Hatter Tea Party with a patchwork tablecloth sewn by the whole class.
6BH read ‘Moby Dick’ as their classic text. The children chose to make a giant collage in a whale shape out of the different scenes in the book which really tested their recall and reading comprehension skills. Their show stopping display included a large ‘Moby Dick’ model complete with ocean and water spout.
Their work is displayed in their class books in our Child of Books display
