Children in Need coincided this year with Anti-bullying week and we have spent all week focusing on the theme of ‘friendship’. Children have participated in various activities exploring ideas such as how to be a good friend, how to resolve friendship issues, being generous to others and being a friend to everyone. In year 4 the children spent time thinking about and writing what makes them unique and sharing this with their classes. In year 2 the children were given different scenarios to think about and asked to role play and act out how they could turn each friendship problem into a positive.
Today the children were asked to wear odd socks and/or shoes to represent our differences whilst raising money for children in Need. As you can see from the pictures there were some wildly alternative variations on this idea and we raised a fantastic £365 for this worthwhile cause.
