The teachers at St. Mary’s put our lab coats and googles on last week in preparation for National Science Week! After concocting lots of explosive mixtures and testing the forces of nature, we all had a thrilling experiment prepared, ready for the children to get their hands on!
Each class partnered up with another class and travelled around the school to visit each ‘laboratory’. The exciting activities included exploding volcanoes, extreme bubble blowing, effervescent rockets and oobleck slime.
As you can see from the photos, the children got to see lots of science in action and get involved! We hope you have enjoyed hearing all about the experiments they took part in. If you are keen to do some more science at home, take a look on this website for ideas: The Royal Institution of Science
