We have had a wonderful end to the half term by celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. All the children attended the Coronation this morning which finished with a jubilant National Anthem accompanied by flag waving as the Queen departed. They then made their way onto the field to enjoy a number of games from all the decades. We hope they will remember some of these to play with their friends when they return.
All week the children have been working on art pieces that represented the various decades. Our Jubilee Art Exhibition was then held for parents to see their hard work. Our Y6 children had created the golden coach, Big Ben, swans, airfields and even corgis from cardboard and paper. Also featured was pop art, clay work and some fabulous portraits.
