You may have read an article in the Dunmow Broadcast showing our school partaking in the ‘Get Diggin’ It (GDI) scheme.
The school has joined forces with GDI to get our pupils growing vegetables using compost made from cardboard and waste found on the school’s grounds.
Mrs Watts, our School Gardener, said ‘All we have to do now to help the project along is engage parent and grandparent power, by helping with daily tasks such as watering and weeding.
Mr Bird, our caretaker, made up the vegetable garden and GDI will be harvesting and selling the produce to the community while preparing seedlings for the primary school during the winter.
If you like to lend your gardening skills to the school you can contact Jenny at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact the school office.
