On Friday 16th September Year 6 visited West Stowe, which is a reconstructed Anglo Saxon Village. Despite the rain, the children were interested in finding out about the different houses and they were able to imagine how the villagers might have lived many years ago. They were fascinated by the real animals’ skins, which they were able to touch, and the real fire in one of the houses was a hit! Whilst in the Great Hall we listened to authentic Anglo Saxon music courtesy of Mr Harris.
Thank you to all of the adult helpers who came with us.
