On Monday, Year 3 took a flight to Ancient Egypt. When they landed, they discovered a suitcase that belonged to Howard Carter who had left them a letter asking them to help continue with his discoveries. They took part in a dig to uncover and classify artefacts and cracked the hieroglyphic code so that they could write their name.
During the week, they have mummified tomatoes, made salt dough amulets and measured items in the classroom using the Ancient Egyptian measurement: a cubit.
Next week they will continue with their discoveries.
