On Friday 22nd May children in Year Five held a cake sale and puppet show to raise money for the earthquake appeal in Nepal. The children had been studying India as a topic and when they heard about the earthquake they immediately wanted to raise money to help the devastated families there.
The incredible amount of £302 was raised in one afternoon! Parents donated an amazing selection of cakes and children had also done a lot of baking themselves. The shadow puppet show told the story of Rama and Sita. The children had written the script and created their own shadow puppets.
