High Stile, Great Dunmow, Essex, CM6 1EB
I have been teaching at Dunmow St Mary’s in reception for 6 years. I particularly enjoy getting to know families and being part of this special time in a child’s life. I love the excitement and creativity of working in reception and no two days are ever the same! Supporting children to learn to read and write for the first time is also one of my favourite parts of the job. They are so proud when they begin to read books and write messages to their friends for the first time and playing a key role in this is a real privilege. Out of school I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, watching documentaries and going out to eat in different restaurants.
I am really looking forward to meeting you all in September. I can’t wait to read lots of new stories together and find out all about your favourite things.
I have been a teaching assistant at St. Mary’s for nearly 10 years and seen all 3 of my children pass through the school from reception to year 6. I know first-hand how important the early days of school are and how vital it is to help the children feel safe, secure and excited to be at school. When I’m not at school you will find me growing flowers and vegetables at my allotment. I spend as much time as possible growing all sorts of unusual flowers and then arranging them for friends and family. My favourite time of the school year is September when we get to meet all the new children and start their exciting school journey with them. So have a lovely summer and see you in September, I can’t wait to meet you.
I’ve been working at Dunmow St. Mary’s for just over one year. During my time I have worked in Key Stage 1 and thoroughly enjoyed engaging with all the children; watching them learn, achieve, and laugh throughout their school journey.
Outside of working at Dunmow St. Mary’s I enjoy socialising with my family and friends and travelling to new places and countries. I also love watching sport, mainly football and tennis. I enjoy long walks in the countryside and when I can, walking up mountains on holiday. I am looking forward to meeting you all in September and being a part of your school journey.
